Show 131 - Talk Talk - Live At The Paris Theatre, London - Early 1982
We return with a special commemoration to mark the sad passing of Mark Hollis this week, the singer and creative force behind the band Talk Talk who tragically died recently after a short illness aged 64.
By way of a tribute, we've remastered this short set broadcast on 10 April 1982. This is a lively, if short set from the original four piece lineup of Talk Talk, showcasing songs from their 1st album, The Party's Over. The original recording I had access to was very bass heavy - so much work was done reducing that; so you can turn this up a bit without hurting your ears! It now sounds clear and punchy, with all vocals and instruments being heard.
As of 2026, you now have the choice to not only download this repaired, restored and remastered show as one 320kbps MP3 file but also to stream it - exclusively for FREE by clicking below.

ReplyDeleteThanks Tomas. Glad you enjoyed this one - and of course plenty more music to come this year. Thanks for your comments!
DeleteThank you so much for this! Do you happen to know on which date it was recorded? I found a concert at Paris Theatre on YouTube with a different set list. And it's titeled 19th April 1982. Regards, Tonia
ReplyDeleteHi Tonia. Glad you enjoyed this one! Yes, I've just found that one too. The files I had were marked "Radio 1 In concert 1982 (April 10th, 1982)" - but I took that to mean the broadcast date (shows at the Paris Theatre were all for the BBC as you probably know) so could have been recorded 1 or 2 months prior. That one on YT sounds quite different - and as you say, different set. Not many relevant google results but 1 from the BBC in 2011 backs up that this was the setlist from the BBC broadcast. Maybe the YT one is from a different venue? Wouldn't be the first live bootleg to be labeled wrongly. Thanks for listening! :)
DeleteI've got this show but it's missing 'Hate', so thanks for this Flip...BTW, it was recorded on the 10th april 82.
