A quick request. If you plan on downloading this and putting it on your YouTube channel or your own bootleg page - I don't mind. But a credit to this website where you found it and a link back to this page would be really appreciated. It helps me gauge which artists are popular - ie more chance of other restorations coming. The Show
I can't remember where this one came from, and I thought it was an FM broadcast but it is labeled as a mono soundboard recording - usually soundboards have very little audience noise but they are certainly audible here. The show was one of many live dates in 1995 across the USA and Canada - this tour in support of their soon to be released EP Smells Like Children.
What Was Done
The original was in reasonable shape but flat, and drums and low end were barely audible in places. Silence between applause and the next song were cleaned up and there was some feedback which I was able to remove.
Once that was done, I used the usual studio toys to make the drums and bass more audible, everything a bit clearer and mastered to spread out the sound a bit and also make it more powerful. There's a little saturation on the recording which doesn't spoil things - if anything I think it makes it sound more like you're there in the venue listening.
The result is clear and powerful - a great record of how Marilyn Manson sounded that early in their career.
